After having a party last weekend we can now say that we are all tired, but happy! We are all proud of what we have done and that is how we can describe our feelings looking back on the first edition of Sounds of Fall!
The event was a success and the bands, crew and audience had a great night filled with Progressive Metal from different backgrounds. From the Progrock/Metal hybrid sound of Overhaul to the djenty heaviness of Chaotic Silence to the avant-garde musings of Adeia (who also introduced a totally new look on a now classic popsong along the way) and to the progmetal finale that was Mind:Soul‘s album show, the whole event felt like a celebration of the heavier music in the prog spectrum!
We want to thank the crew at de IJsbreker in Leusden for giving us the opportunity to make this event work and of course thanks to the audience that attended for making it a night to remember!
The whole event has been shot by multiple cameras and was also recorded on high quality audio. More information about what this material will be used for will be given in the coming months as each band will make their own decisions about that. More news follows when it is available!
And for a photo impression of the event, you can take a look at the photoset Ton Dekkers of Interdependent Photography has shot during Mind:Soul’s albumshow by following the link below:
