On friday the 25th of October 2024 Omnerod will release their newest epic song Panspermia! A track in two parts divided as such:
1 – Above (6:07)
2 – Below (10:00)
What can we expect? The same maddening intensity that we already know from Omnerod of course, but also a combination of old and new!
Here’s what the band had to say about it:
“The 7 people among you (hi mom!) who were already around when we released our first album Ivory Dune might recall a song called Panspermia. Those of us who were part of the band then were always quite fond of this song, even though it sounds like the incestual creative baby of 3 immature and intoxicated teenagers throwing dumb ideas around the rehearsal space (which it totally was).
To celebrate 10 years of Ivory Dune, we have decided to completely revisit this 16-minute beast and give it the love (and hate) it deserves. We do feel like this is a direct continuation of The Amensal Rise, both musically and thematically, and we can’t wait for you all to hear this (both in its studio form, and in a live setting during our upcoming UK tour).
The song was mixed by our good friend Julien Huyssens, and mastered by the amazing Tony Lindgren, in Fascination Street Studios.
To those of you hoping for new material, don’t you worry: This sounds NOTHING like the original, this is brand new Omnerod music.
To those of you who love the original, please be reassured: This is VERY CLOSE to the 2014 version, with just a few minor tweaks here and there.”
